The Year of the Dragon.
From the South China Morning Post:
The Dragon vibe rolls in with a bang,
The Dragon vibe rolls in with a bang,
bringing excitement, extremes, and unpredictability.
Dragon will keep you on your toes this year.
That's a good thing - we can only grow if we reach beyond our grasp.
Enter the dragon. Kung hei fat choi.

MUSIC: Woody Guthrie

The king of folk. Check out the album, Mermaid Avenue. The lyrics to all
the songs were written by Woody Guthrie sometime before
his death in 1967 and put to music by Billy Bragg and Wilco about 30
years later. Lend an ear here. Is Woody strummin' on a tailgate of a Burb in one of those video shots?

INNOVATION: Typewriter
Posted by
Schwets
The Italians created an early prototype called Cembalo scrivano o macchina da scrivere a tasti ("Scribe harpsichord, or machine for writing with keys"). The Danish made a Writing Ball. The word "typewriter" is often cited as the longest English word that can be typed using only one row of keys of a QWERTY keyboard.
Mark Twain claims to be the first important writer to hand a publisher a typewritten manuscript for his memoir, Life on the Mississippi.
And e. e. cummings couldn't have composed this gem without a typewriter.
