THROWBACK: 90s POP

Discounting sweet, golden oldies playing on our Mom's car radio,
this is the pop music we grew up with.  Genuine 90s pop.  It rocks.
Here's a sampling of the top of the pop!

TRANSPORTATION: Penny-Farthing

Penny Farthing Bicycle Crash
This high-wheel contraption was the first machine to be called a bicycle.  It became the symbol of the late Victorian era, popularized cycling as a sport, and now is now a favorite of Luddites and hipsters.

PATTERN: Polka Dots

Polka dot.  An ever fixed mark in classicity.
Never a trend.  Always spot on.

A self taught photographer,
Eastman's large scale images are simply breathtaking.

On his Vanishing America series, Eastman said,

"I love these old buildings and I love how they make me feel
and what I remember. I feel a sense of urgency about this project
because every time I go to another city,
and I explain what I'm looking for, someone says,
'Oh I wish you had been here a week ago or last year'...
I need to photograph these places while they are still here."
